Venice

Venice is beautiful. Most other European cities seem so immaculate and white, but Venice is all colors crumbling into the water.
I had a fantastic time - my hostel was disorganized and ridiculous, but super social, friendly and fun. I made friends with two beautiful German girls (you can see them staring out into the Mediterranean!)
I wouldn't consider Venice to be a very romantic place, the reality is that it's absolutely packed full of tourists - Disneyland for adults. But it's easy enough to run (boat?) from the crowds, and explore in places no guidebook carrying person goes.

Ugh!

Sometimes I look at my pictures and HATE ALL OF THEM!!!
Does that make me bad at taking pictures, or just uninspired? (I think it's the former, all my recent pics look blurry or off in some weird way)
Ahhh sooo many pictures - so little time to put any of them up!
I like these though! (Blurry on purpose - I promise)
Traveling the world (more!) early Thursday morning! :)

Londres

My brother went on a trip with his school, and he took a ton of pictures which I thought were all sortof hilarious as a whole because they were all of obscure building angles (my brother's an architecture major). So anyway, I went to Londres for the first time to visit a very good friend from school (!!!) And looking through my pictures I realized I did the exact same thing as my brother. I have a ton of pictures of the London Eye, which was incredibly cool to look at from different angles. And I have quite a few pictures of Big Ben too. So, Ben, this post is clearly dedicated to you.
I also spent literally three hours sitting in the House of Commons, which was really, really cool. I totally suggest doing it, it's free, super easy to get in, and there wasn't any wait for me. (I think it's a whole different story during Question Time) It's a very different er, scene? then in our Capitol. People just kindof grunt the whole time at each other. And when they get really passionate about something they start grunting louder. And then occasionally they wander away, or pass notes, or start whispering and laughing and pointing at people in the opposition. After that I went and listened in on a Committee meeting, which was also really fun, because you're just sitting in the same room as everyone, and it was just me and some old lady watching, and when I walked in I kept catching Parliament members giving me quizzical, "Is that someone under 35?!" type looks. hahaha
